The change is there.

Stan, 17, is a participant in one of the Turn-Over programs. Stan has been in trouble since the 2nd class of Secondary Education. He was eventually expelled from school and then sat at various schools. Stan says: "It was a combination of factors that prevented me from attending school. On the one hand it was too easy for me, and I had too little challenge. On the other hand, I could not deal with the authority of a number of teachers and I found it difficult to motivate myself. And especially to go for my goals and to keep it going. What I missed during that period was a person I could talk to, whom I had respected and whom I could have trusted. And who could have given me guidance and coaching. "

Stan then stopped school and started working full-time. Only he failed to keep this up and eventually he was at home, without training and without work. He joined Turn-Over through a youth and family coach of the municipality. Stan says: "The button is now with me: I have learned to send myself here and I want to go on and on. I notice that I can do it, and I need less outside help than I thought I would need. I now take much more responsibility for myself and for my choices. I now have a job that I like next to the Turn-Over program and I am already growing in the company. I also follow a course for City Trainer so that I can organize events and for example sports tournaments for municipalities ".

Stan is happy to receive support and trust from Turner and Joeri, Lammert and the team members. His goals for the near future are to complete the Turn-Over program and keep his work. And also obtain the partial certificates that are still required to receive a VMBO diploma. His dream job is rapper, but he realizes that it may not be possible. Then he would like to become an entrepreneur, a wonderful goal for the future!
